The new children’s playground will be built in the summer of 2009 at the corner of 21st Street and Girls School Road. Lion’s Club Treasurer Mr. Bob Snyder indicated the project’s theme “Imagined by Children, Built by Community” coincided perfectly with the type of community outreach projects where the Lion’s Club likes to become involved. Mr. Snyder further indicated “The Chapel Hill Lion’s Club truly realizes the future of our community lies with our children, and this is why we have chosen to sign on and become a proud supporter of the project.” Additional organizations, businesses, churches or individuals can learn more on how to participate with this project by visiting www.westsidepridepark.com or contacting Mr. Dale Deem at (317) 874-8724 or daleedeem@aol.com.
