Chapel Hill Lion’s Club Donates $21,100
to Westside Pride Park Children’s Playground Project

The Chapel Hill Lion’s Club announced a $21,100 donation to the Westside Pride Park Playground project. The new children’s playground will be built in the summer of 2009 at the corner of 21st Street and Girls School Road. Lion’s Club Treasurer Mr. Bob Snyder indicated the project’s theme “Imagined by Children, Built by Community” coincided perfectly with the type of community outreach projects where the Lion’s Club likes to become involved. Mr. Snyder further indicated “The Chapel Hill Lion’s Club truly realizes the future of our community lies with our children, and this is why we have chosen to sign on and become a proud supporter of the project.”
